Carrying the burden of being the breadwinner. The person that had to be there for the kids, the boss, the pets, the husband while crumbing under the pressure, behind a smile. I was afraid to say no out of fear that I would disappoint everyone and jeopardize our security.

I was raped around age 10, which left me with PTSD. I didn't think about it often, but it shaped how I felt about sex — I could never enjoy it, and believed it was something owed to a man rather than something for me. The only way I could go through with it was while drinking, which fed into my alcoholism. Today I have no sexual desire, not even toward myself, and I still see sex as dirty
